Exhausted and hungry after the long journey, Sanzang the Tang Monk, accompanied by his disciples Sun Wukong the Monkey, Zhu Bajie the Pig and Sha Wujing the Friar Sand, is faced by the huge river of heaven. Finding no way to cross over, the troupe decides to stay the night at an inn where they hear the story of the "Demon King" who eats children. Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie volunteer to be scapegoats…
