Description

Jade tumbles through time and space on the back of a dragon. Her aim is to find her mother whom she has been separated from. She lands at Dragon Island in 1997, on the day when it is handed over by the Duke. A conviction that her mother is inside the Duke's palace drives her to his farewell banquet. But on her way to the palace, she bumps into many fantastic characters - the lions outside the bank, a talkative ram and two crazy stockbrokers. Throughout the chase Jade feels that she is getting closer to her mother. But can she find her eventually?

With Dino Mahoney as playwright, Michael Harley, Chung Ying's founding member as director, Ko Tin-lung as producer and translator, and Scott Gibson's live band, together with the collaboration of local and British artists, Dragon Island depicts a colourful, exciting and fascinating journey, merging drama with history and reality.
