Paradise Hotel is the screen version of Chung Ying's renowned stage production Spring Fever Hotel. Directed by the late Bernard Goss, Chung Ying's Spring Fever Hotel gained high acclaims from the audience. Bernard Goss passed away in 1988, and Chung Ying set up the "Bernard Goss Memorial Fund" in the same year with the aim of nurturing new playwrights. Surplus from this fund-raising preview will be transferred to the "Bernard Goss Memorial Fund" to support more of such nurturing activities. Meanwhile, a "Young Playwright Nurturing Scheme" supported by the Memorial Fund has been launched in October 1995.
