There is a piece of land outside the mountain where everything is completely organised and everyday is the same.

The Spirit of Imagination Outside Mountain, an old man, is seriously ill. He sends the Leader of Outside Mountain to find the 'imagination' which will save his life.

His brother, the Spirit of Imagination Inside Mountain, has his own problem - his people have too much fantasy! The Leader of Outside Mountain secretly observes them, but finally joins in their game, frightening a boy whom he eventually befriends.

After further adventures, the Leader of Outside Mountain finally finds 'imagination' and retuns with it to his own land. The Spirits of Imagination Outside Mountain is well again.
